Not only is it an incredibly heavy-duty, easy-to-load, super smooth machine but it also has the benefit of an entirely angle-adjustable footplate as well as a fully angle-adjustable backrest.

These features allow you to set up the machine EXACTLY the way you want to target your quads/hamstrings/glutes in PRECISELY the way you want.

As with any exercise, the more you can be braced and locked in position, the better, which is why we have fully adjustable shoulder pads that allow you to focus entirely on driving the weight up rather than stabilising yourself.

The heavy-duty carriage runs on Thomson Linear Bearings, meaning it is incredibly smooth no matter how much weight you have loaded – and on this Animal Vertical Leg Press, you can obviously load A LOT!!

The ‘Original’ Leg Press Has FINALLY Been Upgraded... Outside of barbell squats, leg press variations have always been a recognised tool for developing the lower body.

Prior to the invention of the leg press machine, strength training enthusiasts would lie on their backs, place a loaded barbell across their feet, and then press the weight with their legs.

Whilst this provided an effective stimulus for lower body development, it obviously came with a huge risk of the weight falling off and causing severe injury.

This led to the creation of the vertical leg press machine in the 1950s and enabled lifters to build their legs without having to balance weight on their feet. In the 1970s, the angled leg press entered the training scene.

This device enabled users to work from a mechanically stronger position and allowed them to use far greater loads to build their lower body.
